Continued Writing!

Hey, Readerland!  The Ogre is back again with more writing shenanigans!

My friend Mary, who was writing along with me during December, wanted to keep up the writing stuff, so this time, I'm going along with it.  So, let's get started with today's stuff.

Writing Exercise # 2 for 01-13-12: Write for 15 minutes using the following sentence as the first sentence "Ashley stared at the fruit, so lost in amazement she didn’t comment on its size."

Well, let's get started, I guess.

Ashley stared at the fruit, so lost in amazement she didn't comment on its size.
It was so beautiful and ripe.  The sunlight glistened off of its skin, the dew creating little rainbows before her eyes.
A soft warm breeze floated through the garden, bringing thousands of wonderful scents to her nose.  She closed her eyes and took in all of the smells and sounds and the feeling of fresh grass between her toes and the wind as it blew her hair.
After a moment, she opened her eyes again and looked at the fruit.  It was tempting to pull it from the tree and eat the whole thing slowly, so she could feel the flesh and the juices on her tongue.  But maybe she shouldn't.  There was more there than she thought she could eat and she didn't want to waste such a beautiful fruit by not eating the whole thing.
She stared at the fruit for a moment and then her stomach rumbled, making her decision for her.  She plucked the fruit from the tree and bit into it.
Her taste buds exploded at the sweet, rich flavor of the fruit.  It was like nothing she had ever tasted before and even though she knew she couldn't finish it all, she was going to try.  She was halfway through when she heard footsteps coming through the brush.  She was trying to hide the fruit and chew and swallow the large pieces she had in her mouth when a man stepped through the brush.
"Hi!" He said with a large smile.  "My name's Adam.  What's yours?"
She tried to say 'Ashley' around the mouthful of fruit, but it mostly came out as vowel sounds.
"Eve?" Adam asked.  "That's a beautiful name!"
Ashley was going to argue, but figured now was not the best time.  Instead, she held out the fruit and offered it to Adam.
